Jordan Kajetan Markus and building of boarding house

Marker located above entrance to our restaurant was originally unveiled in 1844 on native house of Jordan Kajetan Markus. It used to be a house number 15 (so-called Hutter House) that unfortunately didi not survive reconstruction in Frymburk and was demolished.
To the grace of this famous man from Frymburk let we refit the marker and placed it on our guest house.
House number 11 was originaly connected with Sechter´s family. Name Markus has got in Sechter´sgenealogical tree connection with this family.

On the marker there is a text:
Jordan kajetan Markus, educationalist, writer, creator of Stifer monument, born in this house. To loyal son of his fatherland, dedicates Society of Bohemian Foresters in Wien 1894.

Marker was modeled by academic sculptor and professor of arts and crafts school in Wien Josef Breitnerem.
